Music

Our music was specially created for our trailer by Ben Stacey an A-Level Music Technology student at our school who is also a very good friend to me. He made the music with access to the storyboard and our inputs.

Planning - USP & Target Audience

To best get across our USP and Target audience we thought it would be a good idea to use a Dictaphone and record it.

This is shown below;

Planning - Use Of Props

During the filming of The Final Bell we used many props our two main props being outlined below:

 The 'Gun'

First I would like to declare:
This is not a real gun!!

This is an airsoft pistol owned by a friend of one of the group members, The owner has a UKARA license which allows them to own said airsoft pistol. We used this prop as it is a realistic looking prop and would help add suspense and help to dramatize the trailer. While filming this with this prop the owner was on site and at no point did this prop leave the house where this was filmed ensuring it wasn't brought on to the school site where the rest of the film was shot.

The bag

This bag is owned by myself and was easily accessible for filming. This bag also fit the trailer and what we needed it for. This bag is suppose to represent a high school students bag. The bag is also a dark/bland colour therefore fitting the general feel of the film and also connoting a sad/eerie atmosphere.

The mask

The mask used by the character in our trailer belonged to Joe Cleveland, a member of the group. It was originally a plain black beanie to which we cut out eye holes and turned into a mask. This therefore makes it look homemade which also adds more of an atmosphere.

Planning - Filming Locations

This is one of the filming locations at the place in which our sixth form is located, Longsands Academy. We are using this location as the lockers clearly show that it is a school and therefore allows the audience to realise what the film is really about.

There was also shots filmed on the stage (Shown below) as this was a large open area to allow us to film what we needed to film.

*PICTURE OF STAGE*

We also filmed a few shots at my house as it was a location we needed to film. This is the shots of the 'gun' and the shots of the bag. This was to add realism into the film as it is suppose to show someone preparing in private.

Planning - Pitch Powerpoint Slides

Planning - Music used in our trailer

I have approached a close friend of mine called Ben Stacey, Ben is studying Music Technology at St Neots Sixth Form. He has agreed to make an original track to use as a backing for our trailer. This is important as it avoids all chance of copyright which occurs when using music you don't have permission to use. Ben has said we will have full rights to use the song.

The music will be of a high standard and made to fit our storyboard so we know it works perfectly.
